Olibanum è stato progettato sulla base di una semplice ed evidente constatazione: la profumeria, particolarmente riservata, ha sempre raccontato tante storie. Ma per profumare serve davvero tutto questo universo poetico e lirico? Spogliare il profumo per scoprirne la dimensione fondamentale, con creazioni raffinate e accessibili, questa è l'essenza di Olibanum.
Semplice
Se la semplicità non fa sempre rima con facilità in profumeria, è comunque uno dei pilastri di Olibanum. Fragranze che dicono quello che odorano e odorano quello che dicono, senza mai essere banali.

Perché puntiamo ad un impatto ecologico minimo, e questo influenza tutte le nostre decisioni.

Come profumo distintivo della nostra collezione Olibanum, sia svelato che accentuato, l'essenza di Olibanum si fonde con una materia prima emblematica della profumeria.
Per esprimere la nostra creatività e unicità, abbiamo scelto l'olibano, una resina rara più preziosa dell'oro, all'origine stessa del profumo. Ambita da faraoni e re dell'antichità, si credeva che questo olocausto, che adornava altari in tutto il mondo in India, Africa, Europa e Mesopotamia, trasmettesse le preghiere di rituali sia sacri che secolari.
Dall'India fino al Corno d'Africa e passando per il Sultanato dell'Oman, la resina di olibano viene raccolta tagliando la corteccia dell'albero della Boswellia per risvegliarne le tonalità legnose, aromatiche, balsamiche, minerali, speziate e agrumate.

Gérald Ghislain
With his abundant imagination, Gérald Ghislain founded Histoires de Parfums in 2000. This brand with its creations, which are particulary romantic and rich in temperament, continue to seduce enthusiats of olfactory stories about notorious characters, emblematic raw materials and mythical years.
In 2021 with the pandemic in full swing, this entrepreneur, brimming with ideas, launched his Olibanum creation. While Histoires de Parfums tells stories and spins dreams, Olibanum is all about the scent. If these creations are void of storytelling, it's simply to return to and focus on the purity of the raw materials. And for an added personalized touch, each perfume has been designed around olibanum, his favorite scent.
Over the course of his travels, Gérald Ghislain has discovered the splendor of numerous countries associated with perfumery. At the same time, he has seen some of challenges that communities in some regions of the world face. Thus, it is not surprising that he wanted to give a humane dimension to Olibanum, by creating a perfume house committed to supporting humanitarian projects and economic development.
